Semenyo N, Price Highlight of the 2023 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction

The 4-year old Semenyo N became the price highlight of the 2023 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction, which celebrated its 140th edition in Verden, Germany, on 21 October 2023. 

The bidding took place live as well as online. 

Sport Horses

Catalog nr 1, Semenyo N (by Secret x Belissimo M), bred by German Grand Prix rider Bernd Nöther and presented by Phil Nöthen, was the most wanted horse in the collection and sold as price highlight for 140,000 euro to Thomas Ritzinger. The horse is named after the British premier league football player Antoine Semenyo.

The three further highest prices were paid for show jumpers. Capture (by Comilfo Plus Z x Stakkato) sold for 102,000 euro.

The second best selling dressage horse sold to the U.S.A. for 56,500 euro and that was the 3-year old Feliz Contigo (by Farrell x Scolari). 

Quick Sweety
Quick Sweety (by Quantensprung x Fider's Welt) sold for 54,000 euro to Italy, Daytona C (by Da Costa x Lord Loxley) went for 50,000 euro and moves to France, while Verona B (by Valdere x Londontime) found a new owner for 45,000 euro. 

A Swiss client bought Furstenhall (by Furst Belissaro x Quaterhall) for 25,000 euro and Dahlia B (by Despacito x Floriscount) for 23,500 euro, an American secured Fabergé (by Finnigan x Belissimo M) for 24,000 euro, a Spaniard got Flicka (by Furst Samarant x Rotspon) for 19,500 euro. Roxana (by Rocco Granata x San Remo) moves to Poland for 11,500 euro.

An average of 31,887 euro was paid for a sport horse in this auction .

Foals

Vabelhaft
The last foal collection of 2023 was also sold in this auction. A renowned stallion raiser paid 21,000 euro for Vabelhaft (by Vitalis x San Remo), bred by Klaus Niemann. Vegeta (by Va Bene x Bernay) moves to Switzerland for 15,500 euro. Viva Victory M (by Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall) went for 14,000 euro.

A Belgian bought Sienna (by Segantini x Scolari) for 11,000 euro, a Swede got Viva Zapata (by Viva Vitalis x Borsalino) for 9,250 euro, and a Spaniard secured Eyecatcher (by Escanto PS x Quaterback) for 8,500 euro. Teddybär B (by Taurus x Furst Romancier) goes to Poland for 5,250 euro.

The average price of the 22-strong collection was 9,477 euro.
