The Trakehner licensed stallion Exclusiv died unexpectedly last week in the field at his home Gestut Hämelschenburg.

Exclusiv was a 1992 born Trakehner stallion by Starway out of Elysee II (by Zauberklang x Rubin x Patron).

He was bred by Josef Schmelting and purchased by Otto Langels as a 2.5 year old at the Trakehner Stallion Licensing in 1994.

The dark bay did his 100-day stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in November 1995 and scored 109.82 points for dressage (14th) and 85.61 points for show jumping (38th). With an index of 98.53 points he ranked 28th out of 50 participating stallions.

Exclusiv was never competed in sport and sired only one licensed son, Kapriolan F. He produced 12 state premium mares though out of 54 brood mares registered with the German equestrian federation, amongst them the elite mares Fanta, Hekate II,  Kalmar III and the triple licensed stallion producer Schwalbenspiel.

Sixty-nine of his offspring are registered for sport in Germany, two of them reached S-level: his most famous offspring Sergeant Pepper TSF (under Karin Luhrs) and Kapriolan F (Anna von Negri).

Exclusiv reached the graceful age of 28 and died in the field, most likely of an aortic rupture, while cantering.
