Swiss junior riders' team member and national champion Léonie Guerra has declared for Liechtenstein and will no longer be riding under the Swiss flag.

The rising 19-year old dressage rider is born in the principality of Liechtenstein, where she lives in the village of Schaan. The grand daughter of Swiss Olympian Otto Hofer trains her horses with her grand father in Grabs, Switzerland, a 20 km drive north west.

"With this decision, the maturing student will have the opportunity to plan and determine her application plan for school and Sport on a largely independent basis," said Hofer about Léonie's change of flags.

Guerra made her international show debut as a 13-year old at the 2014 CDI Babenhausen aboard Mocca IV (by Weltmeyer x Karon). She has represented Switzerland at the European Junior Riders Championships in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. With Atnon (by De Noir x Akinos) she was the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Swiss Junior Riders Champion.
