The Oldenburg breeding stallion Sandro Song has passed away at age 23. The Sandro x Gepard x Adlerorden stallion suffered from old age and was humanely put down.

The 27 December 1987 born Oldenburger was bred by Paul Schockemohle and stood for twenty years at stud at his owner Evelyn Gutmann's Gestut Bon Homme. He was champion of the stallion licensing in 1990 and did an excellent stallion performance test scoring 133,11 points for dressage and  124,55 points for show jumping. In 1992 he became the Oldenburg "Hauptpremium" winner.

Sandro Song sired many licensed offspring, including the 1998 German Sport Horse licensing champion Sandro Star, Sarafino, Sandro Song Junior, Saliner, Savino, Souverän, Securus, Shamrock, and Sandro Love. His most famous approved son is without a doubt Sandro Hit, which created his own foundation line for the Oldenburg breed.

Sandro Song also produced international show jumping horses such as Markus Beerbaum's Herr Schröder and Franke Sloothaak's Sundance K.
