With the spread of the corona virus across the world, the entire sport community has been affected and the 2020 competition calendar rearranged. This also counts for the horse community.

The 2020 Almased Dressage Amateurs, the only international dressage show circuit exclusively for amateurs, was supposed to kick off in Balve on 7 - 10 May 2020.  However Balve has been postponed to 17 - 20 September 2020 due to the current corona pandemic.

New Schedule for 2020

This makes the Hamburg Dressage Derby on 20 - 24 May 2020 as the new start event for the 2020 Almased Dressage Amateurs, subject to change.

The Almased Dressage Amateurs boast five host cities in Germany and Denmark for 2020: Hamburg (20 -24 May 2020), Verden (5 -9 August), Donaueschingen, (13 - 16 August), Balve (17 - 20 September 2020) and Herning (14 - 18 October 2020).

Exclusively for Amateurs

The Almased Dressage Amateur shows are open to dressage riders aged 26 years and older, who are not already ranked on the FEI World Ranking List.

Each event will have two divisions: a Small Tour (Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I) and a Big Tour (Intermediate II and Grand Prix). Each of the categories will have two competitions per event and there will be a maximum of 24 riders in total.

The riders can enter through their own national federation via the FEI entry system.
