The Danish youth riders' team horse Langkjaergaard's Donna Fetti has passed away on 23 March 2020. She was 19 years old.

Langkjaergaard's Donna Fetti was a 2001 born Danish warmblood mare by Blue Hors Don Schufro out of Klosterhedens World Fetti (by World Cup I x Maat I).

She was bred by Marianne and Jens Sondergaard and discovered by Andreas Helgstrand.

From Helgstrand to Kasprzak

The liver chestnut mare's first claim to fame came in 2006 when she won the Danish Warmblood young horse championships in Herning under Andreas Helgstrand.

Soon after, Anna Kasprzak took over the ride and represented Denmark at the 2006 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, where they placed 14th in the Finals after winning the consolation finals.

In 2007 Anna and Donna did some national shows but between 2008 and 2019 Donna Fetti disappeared from the scene entirely. The mare struggled with an overian cyste which pushed her testosterone levels to the roof. Then she injured her fetlock and she sustained an infection, but the mare returned to full health in 2010.

In her last year as a Young Rider, Anna rode Donna Fetti to victory in the 2010 Ecco Cup Finals and to a third place in the 2010 Young Riders World Cup Final in Frankfurt. In 2011 they made the transition to Under 25 level and competed her at the special Under 25 division which was staged as a pilot project at the time at the 2011 European Senior Dressage Championships in Rotterdam.

Youth Rider Schoolmaster

Grand Prix was maybe a bit too much for the mare but as of 2012 she certainly proved her worth as a junior-young rider's horse and the Kasprzak family gave the ride on the mare as a schoolmaster to two riders who successfully represented Denmark at a string of European Youth Championships.

With Mille Larsen Warncke she finished 9th in the Kur at the 2012 European Junior Riders Championships in Berne (SUI), 29th in the individual test at the 2013 European Young Riders Championships in Compiègne (FRA), and 16th in the Kur at the 2014 European Young Riders Championships in Arezzo (ITA). Larsen's international career ended with the departure of Donna Fetti. The rider continued at national level in denmark with Aagaardens Dancira. Her last show was in September 2018.

In 2016 Victoria Kuusisto Pedersen took over the ride and she represented Denmark at the 2017 European Junior Riders Championships in Roosendaal (NED), where they were 22nd in the individual test. Victoria only briefly showed her internationally in 2018, but returned in 2019 with starts in Nieuw en St. Joosland, Uggerhalne, Hagen and Flyinge. The latter show in September 2019 was the pair's and the horse's last.

"Donna has never been the easiest but with a huge effort and the right setup from these two girls and there families behind they managed to find into her heart and she gave them everything back," said Anna Kasprzak
