Liegard and Skarsoe Win Big Tour at 2019 CDI Crozet at Jiva Hill Stables

French Betrand Liegard and Luxembourg's Fie Skarsoe became the winners of the Big Tour classes held at the 2019 CDI Crozet which celebrated its third edition at Jiva Hill Stables on 8 - 11 August 2019. 

With the Mont Blanc and Jura mountains in the backdrop, Jiva Hill Stables is part of a 45-hectare property which inlcudes the Relais & Chateaux 5* hotel Jiva Hill Resort, two restaurants, a golf, and an artificial lake. At this magnificent location, the 3* and 2* international dressage event was hosted.

Approximately forty riders from 12 different nations and numerous spectators were warmly welcomed in this unique, green location that provided a spectacle of elegance and emotion. Renowned names as well as new combinations graced the starters' lists.

The event included classes from small tour level, through the medium tour and up to a 3* Grand Prix tour. Nine international judges officiated at the event, amongst them the best in the world. The ground jury was headed by French 5* judge Raphael Saleh. 

The 2019 edition was dominated by French Bertrand Liegard on Star Wars (by Show Star), who won the SCI La Tuilière Grand Prix with 69.783%. He went on to take the trophy in the ICR Construction & Cuénod Constructions SA Grand Prix Spécial with 70.936%.

Danish born Luxembourg rider Fie Skarsoe trailered So Dark to Crozet and captured the victory in the 1875 Finance Grand Prix Freestyle with 72.25%.

In the small tour there was more success for Luxembourg based Danes. Aboard Jens Thorsen's Trakehner bred mare Standing O'Vation, Kristine Møller won the Prix Jiva Hill Resort St-Georges (71.029%), Prix Jiva Hill Resort Intermediaire I (71.941%), and the  Prix The Victory Net Foundation Intermediaire I Kur to Music (73.95%). 

Aboard the Trakehner Hamilton, Moller captured two more trophies: the Prix ICR Construction & Cuénod Constructions SA Intermediaire A (69.882%) and the Prix m3 Groupe Intermediaire II (70.735%).

Swiss Charlotte Lenherr has been campaigned her second iron the fire, Sir Stanley W, in the international medium tour and won the blue ribbon in the Prix PCM Opérateur Urbain Intermediaire B with 68.80%.

For the attendants there was also a luxury tombola held as several people won coupons for the Jiva Hill Resort and two long haul Business Class tickets with Air France. 

The 2019 CDI Crozet was a big success and the organizers are looking forward with great impatience to host the 2020 edition next year.
