Miguel Jorda Appointed New Spanish Technical Director for Dressage

The Spanish Equestrian Federation (RFHE) has appointed Miguel Jorda as the new Technical Director for Dressage. 

Jorda is succeeding Luis Lucio, who resigned from the position on 30 December 2018 after six years on the job. His contract was up for renewal in December. 

The 61-year old Jorda is a former member of the Spanish Grand Prix team, having represented his country at the 1989 European Championships in Mondorf-Les-Bain on Bocherini. In 2007 and 2008 he competed at international Grand Prix level with Cantiano and Valenciano M. Suay at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera. In 2016 he rode the 5-year old Glorieus in the international young horse classes at the CDI's in Valencia and Oliva Nova. 

Jorda got a degree as Pferdewirtmeister in Germany and is a 3* international dressage judge. He was the dressage team trainer for the Spanish eventing riders since 2013.
