The former KWPN licensed stallion and performance test second placed Fellini has returned to the show ring, in The Netherlands, as a gelding.

The 8-year old Fellini is by Ampere x Jazz x Ramiro Z. He is owned by Nico Witte and Leida Collins-Strijk.

Fellini was the fourth ranked stallion in the premium ring at the 2013 KWPN Stallion Licensing. With 83.5 points he was the second highest scoring colt in the 2013 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing.

At the 2014 Excellent Dressage Sales Nico Witte sold a share in the ownership of the stallion to Collins-Strijk for 380,000 euro. Leida began competing the stallion in Holland and they were 14th in the 2014 Pavo Cup semi finals. They showed in the 2014-2015 KWPN Stallion competition qualifiers in Roosendaal, Ermelo and Zuidbroek. In the finals in Den Bosch they were 8th. Joyce Lenaerts took over the ride in the autumn of 2015.

In December 2016 Fellini moved to Andreas Helgstrand's barn where he was offered for sale, but the horse didn't sell.

Fellini has now returned back to Holland as a gelding and was ridden by Canadian Chris von Martels, who is based with Collins-Strijk in Riethoven. As Von Martels has broken his thumb, Collins-Strijk's former assistant rider Danielle Houtvast got the ride.

Houtvast and Fellini have competed together twice, their last start was at the regional show in Maren-Kessel where they scored 69.71% in the Prix St Georges.

Houtvast told Horses.nl that the plan is for Fellini to join Leida in Florida for the winter.
