Vivat Rex, Price Highlight of the 2018 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction

The 3-year old liver chestnut stallion Vivat Rex became the price highlight of the successful 2018 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta, Germany, on Saturday 6 October 2018. 

Vivat Rex (by Vivaldi - Samarant - Rubinstein I), bred by Heinrich Gerriets, sold to customers from the Netherlands for 200,000 euro.

The second most expensive horse was the S-level trained Silver Black OLD (by Sandro Hit - Donnerhall - Classiker), bred by Georg Sieverding. He sold for 150,000 euro to the U.S.A.

The Brillantring mare Tara (by Tomahawk - Hotline - Rubinstein), bred by Maike Krause, moves to Switzerland for 110,000 euro.

German clients paid 105,000 euro for the bay mare Petite Etoile OLD (by San Amour x Donnerschwee), while the same price was paid by Brits for the bay mare Florida Sun (by Foundation x Sandro Hit).

The most expensive show jumper was Levi (by Lordanos - Luxano - Landor S) which sold for 80,000 euro to Switzerland.

Tara
The price highlight of the foal collection was Vardy (by Vitalis - Florencio I - Feinbrand), bred by Hans and Britta Scherbring. The chestnut colt sold for 120,000 euro to Sissy Max-Theurer in Austria.

German customers paid 25,500 euro for the bay filly Devotion (by Devonport x Quaterback).  The bay filly Fantasy (by Feinrich x Welt Hit II) sold for 16,500 euro.

The black filly De Lovely (by De Niro x Sandro Hit) sold for 20,000 euro, the bay jumper colt United Kingdom (by Untouchable x Sandro Boy) moves to Austria for the same price.

“Apart from long-term customers we were able to win many new Oldenburg friends who secured their champions for the future in Vechta”, rejoiced auctioneer Fabian Kühl. Approximately half of the riding horses were sold to foreign countries. High quality horses will be off to Sweden (5), Switzerland (4), United States of America (3), Great Britain (2), Australia (1), Netherlands (1), Spain (1) and Turkey (1).

Vardy
Nine of the talented foals of the foal collection will be leaving Germany to the United States of America (4), Spain (3), Austria (1) and Great Britain (1).

The average price of the riding horses of this outstanding auction was 49,000 euro. This is an average increase of 10,000 euro compared to last year. The total turnover for riding horses was 1,950,000 Euro. The foals averaged 16,500 Euro, this means 2,500 euro more than last year, and a total turnover of 558,000 euro.
